How to set up windows 7(Though many people know it)

To install windows 7 first take  the back up of all important documents. Suppose you have four drives in your system (C:,D:,E:,F: ) and your windows in C: drive so transfer all the important files to other drive if you don’t want to format the other drives too. Otherwise take the back up in portable hard disk or any other place you like.

1.      .First you need a windows 7 DVD for setting up windows 7.When you will get the DVD please make your that you have the product key on that. Now insert the DVD in DVD ROM and restart. If the installation doesn’t start change the boot priority.(For changing the boot priority press F12 or DELETE button while restarting. Then you will get a boot menu. From not menu you will find the Boot sequence. From there make The DVD ROM boot priority one).

2.     . Your PC should automatically detect the DVD and you will get a message saying "Press any key to boot from CD". Soon as computer starts booting from the DVD your will get the following screen:

3.      Windows 7 will start loading and you will see the screen given below:

4.      After that the installation menu will appear. From there select the language and other details.

5.      .Now click on the  “Install now”

6.      .Now accept the license agreement

7.      After this, you will have to decide whether you want to Upgrade an existing installation or perform a Custom (advanced) installation, which is basically creating a new copy of Windows.

8.      The next step is to choose where you want to install Windows 7.

Choose the drive carefully. 

9. For creating the partition expand the driver option given below. You now have the option to create new partitions, format them with a desired file system, change the size of existing or newly created partition (Extend), or delete them. We will create a new partition. According to official system requirements, Windows 7 needs 16GB of free space. However, you can do with less. The minimum recommended space for a partition where you want to place Windows 7 is 10350MB. Eventually, the installation itself will take approx. 7GB.We will create a 14GB partition: 

Windows 7 installer will now tell you that it will have to create an additional partition for the core system files. This will be a small primary partition ahead of your newly created one. 

10.Now select the partition and click next.

11 .The windows installation will start now. Wait for 15-20 min. During this time will system will restart for several times don’t worry.

12.After finishing this page will arise for user name and password. Fill the details and click next.

13.Now the product key page will come .Enter the product key and click next.

14.Now the update page will come .select with type of updation u want .I am selecting the first one.

15.Set your time.

16.Congratulation.Windowes set up is finished. Now install your important software and driver.
